Charles River Learning Center

Due to the developing situation regarding COVID-19, all training courses for the foreseeable future will be delivered utilizing the Charles River Virtual Classroom and a WebEx conference line. These measures allow the training team to continue to provide training using a fully hands-on environment with access to an instructor.

Clients may attend training sessions at Charles Rivers Learning Center in Burlington, Massachusetts or London, England. The training lab environment allows focused time away from the office combined with a hands-on Charles River Investment Management Solution experience. After a series of tests, the system introduces significant enhancements and new functions for managing and trading derivatives and fixed income instruments.

The Problem:

Vontobel Asset Management, a NY City based investment adviser, manages global and US long-only equity portfolios. The firm invests in growth-stocks of companies across all market capitalizations with a focus on quality growth companies.

Vontobel needed to migrate to a more current version of the CRIMS platform. This upgrade also impacted an associated portfolio management and compliance reporting processes. Qic Implements Charles River Investment Management System To Support $29 Billion Fund Management Operations

SYDNEY, 9:00 AM, 29 October, 2003 Charles River Development today announced that QIC, one of Australias largest wholesale funds managers with over $29 billion funds under management, is implementing the Charles River Investment Management System to support its global equity, fixed interest, foreign exchange, and derivative investment operations.

Charles River is a leading provider of financial software and consulting services to the global investment management, banking, pension, and insurance industries. Charles River IMS is an integrated front and middle office software suite for portfolio management , order management and trading , and real-time compliance .

QIC selected a phased implementation approach. The firm has completed the Charles River Compliance implementation and began conducting compliance monitoring across all asset classes as of September 1, 2003. The Charles River Manager and Charles River Trader components will be released across the organization in phases by asset class beginning with fixed interest trading in late November 2003.

The compliance phase of the implementation included interfaces from Eagle Investment Systems PACE data warehouse so that QIC can import position, security, classification, rating, and other data into Charles River IMS.
