Once your identity has been confirmed you can simply navigate to the Pay and Transfer tab within your Chase online account. The Wire money link is one of the dropdown options. You then proceed with securely wiring money online.

1. Add a wire recipient

The first step involves entering the name and information of the wire recipient. Click on Add a wire recipient to get started. Youll need the recipients full name, physical address, country and a nickname . You can also provide a custom message to the recipient.

2. Fill in the recipients bank information

For this step youll need to know the recipients bank routing number for wiring money domestically, or their International Bank Account Number for an international wire transfer. Transfer Money From Another Bank Account

You may also move money from an existing bank account into a Chase account using an ACH transfer. Sign in to your account, then access the “pay and transfer” tab or menu selection and choose “external accounts.” In order to create a link to an external account, you’ll need the routing number and account number of the account. These numbers should be available online through your bank’s website. You may also find them at the bottom of a check linked to that account. Enter this information into the app or website, then continue.

Two options will be available to verify that the account connection is accurate. If you give Chase the login and password to your bank account, Chase can log in directly to access the money. Alternately, you may allow Chase to make two small deposits into your account, then verify in the app or on the website what each deposit was. Chase then withdraws the deposits from your account, which may take a few business days.

Once your external account is set up, you can set up a one-time or repeating transfer from one account to another. Chase doesn’t charge for ACH transactions, but the bank holding your external account might, so make sure you understand the associated costs.

Transfer Money From One Bank Account To Another

If you need to transfer money between two of your own accounts at different banks, the process is typically free, and you can do it with your online banking account. But first youâll need to âlinkâ the accounts, which can take about a week. Every bank varies a bit, but these are generally the steps youâll need to go through:

  • Once youâre logged in, select “link accounts,” “add an account,” “add external accounts,” or something similar.

  • Youâll be asked to provide the routing number and your account number for the other bank. You can find these numbers on your bank account page online or on your checks the routing number has 9 digits and the account number is typically the longer number. If you donât have checks, your bank can help you locate both numbers.

  • From there, youâll have to prove that the other account is yours, usually by providing a username and password or by confirming small âtestâ transfers between the two banks. Each bank handles this process a little differently, so just follow the instructions as closely as you can.

  • Transferring money from a checking account to a prepaid card online is also usually free. The steps are similar to those above. In this case, youâd be asked to provide the bank name, account number and routing number of your prepaid card to create an external account.
