Jennifer Lynn Shulkin was married last evening to Jonathan M. Harris at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston. Rabbi Deanna Douglas officiated.
Mr. Harris, also 33, is a founder of Alternative Investment Management, money managers in New York. He graduated from the University of Michigan and received an M.B.A. from Northwestern.
The bridegroom is a son of Nicki and J. Ira Harris of Palm Beach, Fla. His mother is a member of the board of the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach, Fla., and a member of the Kennedy Center National Committee for the Performing Arts in Washington. His father retired as a senior partner in Lazard Frères & Company in New York. He is now the chairman of J. I. Harris & Associates, an investment management firm in Palm Beach and the vice chairman of an investment company operated on behalf of the Pritzker family, whose holdings include the Hyatt hotel chain.

It is a sight Jon Harris will never forget: his Jewish father dressed up as Santa Claus, handing out presents at Ronald McDonald House in Chicago.
The presents were a pair of shoes and a jacket, says Harris, who was working as an elf that day. Seeing the joy and appreciation those kids had for something I took for granted was eye-opening.
Harris, who is now CEO of Alternative Investment Management, LLC, has not forgotten the lessons his parents taught him about the importance of service. His relationship with Robin Hood dates back to 2000, when he attended his first Benefit soon after moving to New York City from Chicago. Inspired by Robin Hoods commitment to accountability and focus on getting things done, Harris soon became an invaluable member of the team. In addition to serving as a founding member of the Leadership Council, he is a Robin Hood event enthusiast, rarely missing an Investors Conference or Benefit, and has been to almost every Robin Hood concert this millennium.
It was Tucker and Charlie who inspired Harris to take on a challenge that has left many of his closest friends in shock: running the New York City Marathon as part of Team Robin Hood. As Harris explains on his fundraising page, I want to be a great role model for my kids in terms of being healthy and taking care of myself so I can be around for many years to come and hopefully take them to more Cubs World Series games. You only get one shot at this life, and I want to make it count.

Jon is the Chief Executive Officer of AIM13 and Chair of the firms Investment Committee and Board of Managers. He leads the firms investment management activities and overall strategic direction of the firm.
Prior to joining the firm, Jon managed private investments for J.I. Harris & Associates. Previously, he worked for Goldman Sachs in the firms Investment Management Services Group and spent time in its Investment Banking Division in London. Earlier in his financial services career, Jon served as a principal investment analyst for Madison Dearborn Partners, the private equity firm based in Chicago. Jon also served as Deputy to the Vice Presidential Campaign Manager for the Dole-Kemp Presidential Campaign in 1996. Prior to that role, he was responsible for the majority partys issues on the International Finance Subcommittee of the U.S. Senates Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs.
Jons investment committee involvement includes the University of Michigan endowments Investment Advisory Committee, the Polk Brothers Foundation, the Pritzker Family Foundations, and the Jewish Communal Fund where he also serves on the board. Additionally, Jon serves on the board of the Child Mind Institute and the advisory board of the Kellogg Finance Network. Jon is also a member of the New York Economic Club, the Chicago Economic Club, and the Young Presidents Organization.
