Leading Bank Joins Lpl Financial’s Institution Services Platform

LPL Financial Holdings Inc. , the parent corporation LPL Financial LLC, today announced that BMO Harris Financial Advisors – the retail brokerage and advisory business of BMO Harris Bank – has joined LPLs Institution Services platform.

SAN DIEGO March 30, 2021 LPL Financial Holdings Inc. , the parent corporation LPL Financial LLC, today announced that BMO Harris Financial Advisors – the retail brokerage and advisory business of BMO Harris Bank – has joined LPLs Institution Services platform. BHFA comprises approximately 115 financial advisors, who collectively serve approximately $15 billion of brokerage and advisory assets.

BMO Harris Bank and LPL Financial signed an agreement in October 2020 to transition support of the banks retail advisory and brokerage business to LPL. On March 27, BHFA joined LPLs Institution Services platform and onboarded approximately $11 billion of brokerage and advisory assets. The remaining approximately $4 billion of assets are expected to onboard over the next several months.

Darrel has served as President, BMO Wealth Management â U.S. since 2014. He is accountable for BMOâs private wealth management businesses in the United States, leading a team of 1,000 high performing professionals and over $130 billion in client assets. He also serves on the board of directors of BMO Harris Bank N.A., the board that governs BMO Financial Groupâs principal banking subsidiary in the United States.

Since joining BMO in 2004, Darrel has held several leadership roles including Head of North American Integrated Channels Head of US Business Banking Regional President – Chicago Metro and Head of Acquisition Integration. Before joining BMO, Darrel was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. Prior to that, he held a variety of roles at the General Electric Company.

Darrel serves as an independent board director for Glatfelter , a global B2B engineered materials supplier. He also is a board director for the Art Institute of Chicago, the Rush University Medical Center and Chicago United.

Darryl White was appointed Chief Executive Officer of BMO in 2017. He serves as a director of BMO Financial Group as well as its U.S. subsidiary, BMO Financial Corp.
